Mission Statement
Le Blue House Foundation seeks to provide scholarship funds for student-athletes who want to pursue their educational and athletic dreams at the Division III level.
Goals
Through member donations and fundraising activities, Le Blue House will award one-time scholarships to worthy high school seniors entering their freshman year of college. Our hope is that these awards will allow students the ability to further themselves intellectually and athletically by lightening the financial burden of collegiate athletic participation at the Division III level. We recognize the value of the experience that we were provided while participating in Division III athletics and cherish the opportunity to pass this opportunity to future generations.
Our Story
How Le Blue Started
The early seeds of Le Blue House Foundation were planted at a small school in Pella, Iowa – Central College. As a group of young men came together in the sweltering heat of an Iowa summer in 2011 to pursue their passion for the game of football, they could have never guessed that the hard work and dedication that they would all show for their football program would bring them together as more than just teammates and friends. Ultimately the bond that they developed became a brotherhood that has stretched far beyond the dorm, field or classroom and into our everyday lives and families.
As their athletic and academic experiences developed, JT, Joel, Joey, Greg, Austin, Mike and Zack all discovered that their time together seemed to revolve around a central place – Le Blue House. A small property owned by the college on the outskirts of campus became the hub for lots of great times, great conversations, and at least one great idea. That idea was the thought that, since we had all been so lucky to share our experiences as DIII athletes ,we should do everything we could to provide that same opportunity to others. It was in that spirit that Le Blue House Foundation was born.
After some post graduate work, lots of ideas about what Le Blue House could be, and even a new friend joining the fray (Steve!), Le Blue House Foundation was formed in 2017 with the distinct goal of providing scholarship assistance to those who hope to pursue their athletic and academic goals in Division III. We only hope that this foundation can give even a few young people the same chance to grow themselves, chase their dreams, and make some lifelong friends in much the same way that we were able to … at Le Blue House.
